According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in 2014, the cumulative sales of new energy vehicles reached 74,000 units, which was a 3.2-fold increase year-on-year. In the first quarter of this year, 26,000 new energy vehicles were sold, a year-on-year increase of 2.8 times. The number of downstream charging piles is seriously insufficient. According to the 12th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Electric Vehicle Technology, 400,000 charging piles and 2,000 charging and replacing stations will be completed by the end of 2015.

In the face of the status quo and future development goals, the state is adopting policies to fuel the construction of charging piles. The person in charge of a charging pile production company stated that the central government's subsidy ratio for the construction of charging stations is expected to exceed 40%. In the new energy automobile policies promulgated in various places, adjustments have also been made in the construction of charging piles. The tide of charging pile construction has become overwhelming. It is estimated that the market scale of charging facilities in China will reach 20 billion yuan in 2015, 40 billion yuan in 2016, and will exceed 100 billion yuan by 2020.
