Dust bag filtration is one of the most common methods. It works by trapping particles as small as 0.3 microns with a 99.99% efficiency rate. However, as the bag fills, the vacuum’s suction power decreases over time, making it less effective. While users don’t need to replace the bag after every use, it should be changed periodically. If left too long, dust bags can become breeding grounds for mites and other microorganisms, leading to secondary pollution when they are emptied. This system is ideal for industries like factories, hotels, and car detailing, where frequent cleaning is required. The downside is that the fabric pores can expand over time, reducing filtration effectiveness and requiring replacement.

Dust cup filtration uses high-speed motor rotation to separate debris from air, then filters the remaining particles through HEPA filters. This method eliminates the need for frequent replacements, making it more convenient for everyday use. However, it requires cleaning after each use, which can be a bit time-consuming. It’s a good choice for homes or offices where regular but not constant cleaning is needed.

Water filtration is a more advanced and effective method. Instead of using traditional filters, it uses water as a medium to trap dust and microorganisms. As the dust passes through the water, it gets dissolved and locked in, while the remaining particles are filtered further. This results in cleaner exhaust air than the air being sucked in. The main advantage is superior filtration performance, but there are some drawbacks. Water-based systems require careful waterproofing and design, which makes them more expensive. They also need to be drained and cleaned after each use to prevent mold, bad odors, and rust. Despite these challenges, they are great for home and office environments where air quality is a priority.
