The new "Environmental Protection Law" under the pressure of Zibo Tao enterprises

On April 24th, the most stringent "Environmental Protection Law" in Chinese history was passed by the Standing Committee of the 12th National People's Congress. This new law significantly enhances the authority of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, empowering it to impose stricter penalties on polluting industries, including shutting down non-compliant enterprises and confiscating their equipment. The number of legal provisions has increased from 47 to 70, with no room for leniency in establishing illegal polluting facilities. The law will come into effect on January 1st next year, signaling a major shift in environmental governance. In response, Zibo, a key city in Shandong Province known for its ceramic industry, is expected to face heightened environmental pressures. Local authorities have already begun enforcing stricter regulations, implementing a deadline-based management system for ceramic companies. They have set detailed standards for emissions control, raw material storage, coal quality monitoring, dust suppression, wastewater treatment, and more. Several non-compliant companies have been forced to halt operations for rectification. According to Yu Zhaochun, director of the Zibo Environmental Protection Bureau, the new law introduces harsher consequences for violations. Previously, companies that violated environmental rules would only receive warnings or fines. Now, if a company fails to obtain a discharge permit, it may be ordered to stop operations, and responsible personnel could face detention. “This means that future violations could lead to severe legal repercussions,” Yu said. Additionally, the law now imposes daily fines for non-compliance. If a company fails to address pollution issues within the given timeframe, the penalties accumulate on a daily basis, with no upper limit. “Such high penalties will push companies to take pollution control seriously and improve their measures quickly,” Yu added. The pressure for compliance has also accelerated the transition toward cleaner production in Zibo’s ceramic industry. Companies are investing in advanced environmental technologies and energy-efficient products. For example, Shandong Yike Energy Saving Technology Co., Ltd. has introduced dry-process milling technology, which saves over 4,771 tons of standard coal annually and improves energy efficiency by 60%. Zibo Vickers Ceramics has launched zirconium-free ceramic tiles, reducing production costs by 10% and resource consumption by 12%. Meanwhile, Zibo Senna New Material Technology Co., Ltd. has developed a high-aluminum ball grinding system, cutting energy use by 20% and improving production efficiency. Looking ahead, Zibo is preparing for the implementation of a new pollutant discharge permit system. As part of this effort, the city is conducting comprehensive investigations to identify all entities that emit pollutants and assess the types and volumes of emissions. This data will help determine emission quotas and guide environmental controls. With these measures in place, the ceramic industry in Zibo is likely to undergo another wave of environmental reforms in the coming months.

Kitchen faucets can be divided into many types according to their function and material. According to the function, the kitchen faucet can be divided into single cold faucet, double cold water faucet and mixed faucet. The single-cooled faucet only provides cold water, suitable for use scenarios that do not require hot water. Double cold water taps provide hot and cold water, respectively supplied by two separate water pipes, so that users can adjust the water temperature according to their needs. The mixing faucet combines the hot and cold water pipes, and adjusts the water temperature and water flow intensity through a knob or pole, which is more convenient and practical.

According to the material, the kitchen faucet can be divided into stainless steel faucet, copper faucet and plastic faucet. Stainless steel faucets are corrosion-resistant, easy to clean and durable, and are suitable for kitchen environments that are used for a long time. The copper faucet has good thermal conductivity and antibacterial properties, but also has a certain decorative, suitable for users who pay attention to the overall style of the kitchen. Plastic faucets are light and easy to install, suitable for temporary or economically demanding kitchens.

In addition, there are some special types of kitchen faucets, such as retractable faucets, filter faucets and spray faucets. The retractable faucet can be freely expanded and retractable as needed for easy cleaning and use. The filter faucet has a built-in filter element, which can filter impurities and odors in the water to provide a more pure water source. The spray faucet has a variety of spray modes, which can adjust the water flow form according to needs, such as spray, atomization, etc., to provide a more comfortable experience.

To sum up, kitchen faucets can meet the needs and preferences of different users according to their functions and materials. Choosing the right kitchen faucet can improve the convenience and decorative effect of the kitchen.
