The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organizes nearly 30 units of major domestic steel research institutions and steel enterprises, ship design units, shipbuilding enterprises, ship inspection, shipowners and shipbuilding associations, steel industry associations and shipbuilding industry associations. Shanghai Changhang Wusong Ship Engineering Co., Ltd., which is affiliated to Shanghai Airlines, held a kick-off meeting for the implementation of domestic marine corrosion-resistant steel applications.
In order to break the monopoly of foreign countries in the field of marine corrosion resistant steel and fill the gap in the production of corrosion resistant steel in China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized research in various industries such as production, learning, research, use and inspection. After nearly six years of hard work, good research results have been achieved. Sinotrans Changhang Group has given active support to the actual performance of domestically produced corrosion-resistant steel. Recently, domestic corrosion-resistant steel was officially applied in the “Daqing 435†round. The results of this project will improve the localization level of China's crude oil ships, reduce construction costs, and enhance the international competitiveness of China's steel, shipbuilding and shipping industries.
