To ensure the safety of the riders, Volvo and the sporting goods manufacturer POC and Ericsson jointly developed a A prototype of a safety helmet that exchanges information with sensors in the surrounding car.
The safety helmet and the sensors in the car can send out and receive safety signals so that both the driver and the rider can know that the other party is approaching. And if the collision is about to happen, the safety system and safety helmet inside the car will pass the data to the cloud and warn both parties in time. At this time, the driver will be able to see the warning message from the head-up display inside the car, while at the same time being safe. The indicator light on the helmet will also illuminate to alert the rider.
