The unit" can place 7 generator modules in the sea. The first 1 megawatt generator set was installed in the sea in the southern part of Xiushan Township, Bishan County.
Since it was installed in the sea in January this year, the data collection has been in line with the grid requirements after the operation of the complete tidal cycle. After the official loading of power generation, it will be incorporated into the State Grid at the end of August, and the annual generating capacity of the unit after stable power generation will reach 6 million kWh.
To capture the tide energy, it is necessary to rely on underwater turbines, which is the key to the innovation of current power generation technology. In the face of technical difficulties, Lin Donghe's R&D team broke the technical bottleneck of the large-scale production of marine tidal current power generation equipment with the turbine turbine integrated model, and formed the LHD Lindong modular marine tidal current energy generation system. This is China's independent research and development production, the largest installed capacity of the tidal current generating units, is a major breakthrough in China's marine clean energy utilization technology, will become an important symbol of China's leading energy generation technology leading the world. Prior to this, China's largest marine tidal current generator set was only 0.3 MW. In 2015, the world’s first 7.5 MW Lindon Modular large-scale ocean tidal power generator set was built in Xiushan Township. Through the construction of the 3.4-MW "Scientist-Global Return" and the second-phase 4.1-MW "Entrepreneurs and Returning Seas", the construction of the 7.5 MW generating unit will be completed.
