Japanese scientists synthesize the world's hardest diamond

According to the British "Daily Telegraph" reported on December 20, Japanese scientists have recently successfully synthesized the world's hardest diamond, with a diameter of more than 1 cm, and the company that cooperates with it is striving to put into production as soon as possible next year.

This cylindrical diamond is the result of a collaboration between researchers at Ehime University in Japan and Sumitomo Electric Industries Co., Ltd., and was named "Yoshishi" from "Ehime."

Researcher Jin Zheman said that Yuanshi is currently the hardest artificial diamond in the world and is much harder than ordinary diamonds, so it can be used in many industrial activities. “Yu Shi can help people to understand the elemental crystals of carbon formed under high pressure and high temperature in the depths of the earth. At the same time, as an industrial product, its life is several times longer than ordinary diamonds.”
