Old Method: Previously, low-voltage switchgear, fuses, air switches, and venting shields were marked using ink printing. This included model numbers, product specifications, and identification details. Drawbacks of the Old Process: The ink was prone to fading or peeling off over time. The quality wasn't very fine, and there was limited variety in plate designs. Additionally, the use of ink as a consumable led to high costs and frequent replacements. Ink Replacement Process: To maintain print quality, a curing agent had to be added to the ink. This meant replacing the ink cartridge every 8 hours, even if it wasn’t fully used. A single 80-gram ink cartridge cost around 400 yuan, and with three shifts per day, the annual expenditure on ink could reach several hundred thousand yuan. New Innovation: Now, the information is engraved using a laser, eliminating the need for any consumables. The Eternal World logo remains permanently attached, the engraving is precise and elegant, and the process of creating plates has become much simpler. Current Challenges: However, due to the large size of the casing on low-voltage electrical equipment, many products currently don't get good results from the laser marking process. To improve this, we are changing the material to make the outer casing more suitable for laser marking. Requirements for the New Process: 1. The current speed of the pad printer is about 2-3 seconds per piece, and the laser machine operates at a similar speed. 2. The text needs to be thin, with high contrast, and clear lettering is essential for the group's standards. 3. It is recommended to use an optical fiber marking machine with at least 10W power. This ensures a clear mark, lower maintenance costs, and easier operation. Overall, the new laser marking method offers a more efficient, durable, and cost-effective solution compared to the old ink-based approach. It aligns better with modern production demands while improving product quality and reducing long-term expenses. |
