Issues with the Old Process: The ink tends to wear off easily, the markings are not precise, there is a limited variety of plate options, and the use of consumables like ink is high. Ink maintenance was also time-consuming. To ensure proper drying, a curing agent had to be added to the ink. Ink cartridges needed to be replaced every 8 hours, even if they weren't fully used. An 80-gram ink cartridge costs around 400 yuan, and with three shifts per day, the annual cost for the printing machine can reach several hundred thousand yuan. Innovative Solution: The new process uses laser marking, eliminating the need for any consumables. The Eternal World logo remains durable and doesn’t fade. The engraving is more detailed, and the process of making plates is much simpler and efficient. Current Challenges: However, due to the large size of the casing on low-voltage electrical equipment, many products currently do not produce good results with the laser marking process. To improve this, the material of the outer casing needs to be modified to make it more suitable for laser marking. New Process Requirements: 1. The current speed of the pad printer is about 2-3 seconds per piece, and the laser machine operates at a similar speed. 2. The characters need to be thin, the color should be bright, and the group requires clear and legible text. 3. It is recommended to use an optical fiber marking machine with at least 10W power for better clarity, lower consumption, and easier maintenance. This transition from traditional ink printing to laser marking represents a significant step forward in both efficiency and quality. It not only reduces long-term costs but also improves the overall appearance and durability of the product labels, meeting modern industrial standards. |
