The composition of the helmet and the functions of each part

As the first line of defense, the important role of the helmet is self-evident. What is the structure of the helmet? Each part has its own function, which is edited by China Labor Safety Net Editor:

Cap: Takes a blow to separate the falling object from the human body.

Hood: Keep the helmet in a defined position on the head.

Top strap: Disperses the impact force and keeps the cap shell floating so as to disperse the impact force.

Rear hoop: headband locking device.

Lower chin strap: Helps maintain the status and position of the helmet.

Sweatband: Sweat.

Cushion: Reduces impact when an impact occurs.

Wearing height: It reflects the difference in height from the forehead to the head and interferes with the eyes, ears and clothing. The cap of the helmet was removed from the forehead. The tight part cannot be closed, and there is no guarantee that it has a certain state and position on the head.

Vertical spacing: Reflects the gap between the inside of the cap and the top of the head. If it is too small, the ventilation is not smooth, and if it is too large, the center of gravity of the shell increases, causing the helmet to be unstable on the head.

Horizontal spacing: Provides buffer space when there is lateral force at the impact. It is also a cooling channel.

Structural requirements

1, the top of the cap should be strengthened. Can be made of light top or ribbed structure. The shell is made without edges, with edges or curls.

2, plastic cap lining should be made of a structure with a rear hoop, can freely adjust the cap hoop size (sub-pull adjustment, button adjustment, knob adjustment, etc.).

3. The chin strap with no rear hoop lining is made of “Y” type, with the rear hoop, allowing single roots.

4. The headband on the forehead of the contact should be breathable and absorbent.

5. The gasket around the cap hoop can be made into strips or blocks and leave space for air circulation.

6. Hard hat manufacturers must strictly follow the national standards of GB2811-2007 for production.

7. Y-type helmets are not allowed to be laterally pressed, because Y-type helmets only protect the damage caused by the linear impact from top to bottom and cannot protect the pressure from the side.
