Recently, the Beijing Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, under the General Machinery Institute, was responsible for the acceptance of the "2000KN Vertical Cold Swing Rolling Machine Development Research" project. The 2000KN vertical cold swing machine, developed by the institute, is a product with independent intellectual property rights. It has filled a domestic gap and reached international advanced levels. In 2013, it was selected as part of the "First (Set) Major Technical Equipment Test and Demonstration Project" in Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park, highlighting its significance in the field of high-end manufacturing.

The project successfully introduced a new design for the oscillating head, featuring an innovative motion trajectory. This breakthrough enabled the machine to significantly increase the forming force during the swinging process, overcoming previous limitations. The newly developed cold swing machine has already produced prototypes for vehicle starter ratchets and differential speed components. Compared to traditional hot forging and machining methods, the bevel gear test pieces produced using this technology demonstrate notable energy savings and higher production efficiency. These advantages make the machine highly promising for a wide range of industrial applications, and it has already secured several invention patents, further reinforcing its technological value.
