The pass rate of random inspection results of children's furniture is 83.3%

Recently, the Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau released the results of a random inspection on children's furniture, revealing that the pass rate was 83.3%, with three batches of non-compliant products identified. This report highlights concerns over product safety and quality standards in the market. The samples were collected from 17 distribution companies in the Xi'an area, with 15 out of 18 batches passing the inspection. The main aspects tested included appearance requirements, structural integrity, formaldehyde emissions, and warning labels. It was found that three batches failed to meet the required standards, particularly in areas related to formaldehyde emissions and structural safety—both critical factors for children's furniture. Among the unqualified products, the Columbine brand children's bedside table (model CV7743N) failed the edge and tip safety test. The Happy Station brand children's bedside table (model HB9-302) exceeded the formaldehyde emission limit, while the Blue Tribe brand children's chair (model T09750010) also failed the edge and tip safety assessment. This inspection serves as a reminder for consumers to be cautious when purchasing children's furniture and to look for products that meet national safety standards.
