Wuhai Airport's parking area covers 18,450 square meters and offers 387 parking spaces. With over 3,000 vehicles entering daily, the airport faces significant pressure in managing its parking system. To address this challenge, Wuhai Airport has implemented a two-in-two-out system, combining an automatic ticketing system (PM910) and a manual card issuance system (PM710). This setup helps streamline traffic flow and improve efficiency.
As one of the busiest airports in the region, Wuhai Airport sees thousands of vehicles passing through each day. To enhance the experience for both passengers and staff, the airport introduced a large-hand parking management system. This advanced system not only improves operational efficiency but also reduces congestion and waiting times at the entrance and exit points.
Located in Haibowan District, Wuhai Airport is situated 15 kilometers north of Wuhai City. It lies in the southwest of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, near Xindi Township, with the Ordos Plateau to the east and the Alashan Grassland across the river to the west. To the south lies the Yinchuan Plain of Ningxia, while the Yellow River flows just 3,000 meters west of the airport, running from south to north. As a domestic civil feeder airport, it officially opened on December 12, 2003.
When a vehicle arrives at the airport, it triggers the entrance sensor, and the PM810 control system automatically prints relevant parking information onto the parking card, which is then handed to the driver. The gate then opens automatically, allowing the vehicle to enter. Upon arrival, the driver simply presents the parking card to the toll collector, pays the fee, and receives the ticket quickly.
The large-hand parking system has effectively addressed long-standing parking management issues. In the VIP area, the PM810 automatic card system provides a more convenient and efficient service for users. Even though the PM710 entrance uses a manual card issuance method, it still handles the high volume of traffic efficiently.
This modernized system not only improves the passenger experience but also enhances the overall operation of the airport’s parking facilities. With continuous improvements, Wuhai Airport continues to meet the growing demands of air travel and transportation.
