(1) Bearing Condition Monitor For users who require enhanced reliability, some top international manufacturers offer a non-contact bearing condition monitor. This device helps prevent failures such as bearing wear, coupling disengagement, rotor jamming, and power system malfunctions. (2) Motor Power Monitor This system continuously monitors motor power to detect low flow or dry operation conditions, helping to avoid damage caused by improper pump operation. (3) Temperature Probe A temperature probe (RTD) is used to monitor the baffle temperature, providing real-time feedback on the pump’s operating condition. It helps prevent dry running, internal/external bearing wear, severe cavitation, pump blockage, and system overheating. (4) Differential Pressure Switch The differential pressure switch monitors changes in pump outlet pressure, effectively preventing dry running, severe cavitation, pump erosion, and pump blockage. It is especially useful in applications like container emptying or tank truck unloading. (5) Secondary Protection System ① Pressure-Tight Magnetic Coupling Box with Isolation Sleeve For high-pressure delivery of highly toxic or flammable chemicals, the magnetic coupling box must be a pressure-tight structure, designed and tested to match the pump’s hydraulic end. A secondary seal, including a throttle bushing and mechanical seal, should also be installed. This method is recommended by API 685. ② Double Isolation Sleeve Design In the case of a double isolation sleeve structure, the outer isolation sleeve must be designed and tested to match the pump’s hydraulic end pressure. (6) Liquid Leak Probe For pumps equipped with a secondary protection system, a liquid leak probe is essential. In a pressure-sealed magnetic coupling box, the probe will trigger an alarm if the isolation sleeve ruptures or if leakage occurs. For a double isolation sleeve design, the probe will alert when fluid enters the cavity between the inner and outer sleeves.
